Pathologist Asst Certified

Job Summary Provide patient‑focused care through the examination of surgical specimens and timely completion of surgical case reports independently. Responsible for the accurate performance of gross dissection to support microscopic diagnosis and other duties in compliance with approved protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform examination, gross dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens under the supervision of a pathologist. Actively participate in compliance and quality management activities on a daily basis and special projects as indicated. Assist with special tissue processing including special fixatives, culture media, and selection for culture. Provide accurate and reliable clinical outcomes through critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Technical Capabilities Training & Development (Fundamental Awareness) – Demonstrated understanding of effective delivery, use of visual aids, oral skills, and program support requirements. Mentoring & Coaching (Novice) – Constructively train and mentor others by providing positive direction and feedback. Pathology (Novice) – Demonstrated sufficient proficiency in practical pathology applications. Quality Assurance (Novice) – Continuously analyze and evaluate work processes, propose improvements, and monitor quality standards. Core Capabilities Develops self and others to improve performance. Qualifications Master’s degree in pathology or a related field. Less than 1 year of relevant professional experience. Certification requirements to be determined.
