About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our client's team in the manufacturing sector. In this role, you will contribute to providing safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers, maintaining shop and field equipment, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate metal fabricating machines, such as rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, metal flanges, and benders.
- Cut, bend, roll, flange, seam weld, and form plates, sheets, and structural shapes as specified by layout, templates, and/or instructions.
- Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision.
- Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
- Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process and participate in failure investigations when relevant.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Entry level: 0-3 years experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Basic blueprint reading and ability to read.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Efficient in basic computer skills: accessing and sending emails, completing online certifications and tests, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing System and continuous improvement processes.
Work Schedule: Both 1st & 2nd Shift available as options: 1st Shift - M-T 4:00am - 2:30pm, 2nd Shift - M-T 3:00pm - 1:30am. Friday's for mandatory OT. (Schedules are flexible)
