Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery Nurse position is based in Sioux City, Iowa, within a high-volume labor and delivery department. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients during labor and delivery, requiring professional expertise and adherence to clinical standards. Candidates are expected to bring their Iowa nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Sioux City, Iowa
• Shift Time: Nights
• Shift Hours: 12 hours
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa nursing license; at least 2 years of current Labor and Delivery (LD) experience; experience within the previous year at larger high-volume delivery centers (200-300 deliveries/month); circulating and scrub experience; high acuity experience; certifications including BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), fetal monitoring certification from AWHONN, and NRP; experience with EPIC STORK electronic medical record; strong clinical skills specific to labor and delivery nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Multiple travel contracts completed; EPIC STORK experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a skills checklist specific to Labor and Delivery (LD), a professional reference from within 24 months, and a drivers license. Work history/resume/employment history must demonstrate 24 months of current LD experience. Nursys must confirm an active Iowa license.
