Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Technologist Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Must be able to start 10/12 or later Description:Position requires working in a high-acuity operating room setting.Shifts are scheduled for three times a week from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.Weekend call shifts will rotate every four weeks.Call is utilized to fill evening and night staffing gaps.Every attempt is made to limit work and call combined to 60 hours per week.Typical procedures performed include: Burn care with wound debridement, skin grafting, and dressing changes. Dental procedures including restorations and oral maxillofacial surgeries. ENT surgeries such as tonsillectomies, parathyroidectomies, and cochlear implants. Gastroenterologic procedures like EGD and colonoscopy. General surgeries across a wide variety of cases. Gynecological procedures including ablations and hysterectomies. Neurosurgical procedures such as spinal fusions and craniotomies. Open heart surgeries including CABG and related vascular procedures. Ophthalmic procedures including vitrectomies, cataract surgeries, and corneal transplants. Orthopedic procedures covering trauma and joint surgeries. Plastic surgeries focused on breast augmentation and reconstruction. Psychiatric procedures such as electroconvulsive therapy. Robotic surgeries including those in gynecology and urology.
