Heavy Equipment Operator

Wolverine Lawn Services is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a trusted provider of commercial snow removal services, Wolverine Lawn Services offers a professional work environment and the opportunity to earn competitive pay while operating loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment. Operators play a vital role in keeping commercial properties safe and accessible during winter weather events. This is a seasonal, on-call position with most work occurring overnight and during third-shift hours, depending on weather conditions. Responsibilities Operate loaders, skid steers, and other assigned heavy equipment to clear, push, pile, and relocate snow at commercial properties Follow site maps and operational plans to ensure thorough and efficient snow removal Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe operation Monitor equipment fuel, fluids, tires, and warning lights during shifts Communicate effectively with dispatch and Zone Leaders throughout each event Complete service logs and upload required site photos as directed Protect buildings, vehicles, landscaping, and other property features from damage Maintain safe and professional work practices at all times Qualifications Previous experience operating loaders, skid steers, or similar heavy equipment Snow removal experience preferred Strong spatial awareness and commitment to safety Ability to work in snow, ice, darkness, and low-visibility conditions Reliable and able to report promptly when called for snow or ice events Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Capable of working independently and as part of a coordinated team Compensation $24–$35 per hour , based on experience and equipment operated. This is a seasonal, weather-dependent, on-call position. Shift lengths and weekly hours will vary depending on winter weather conditions, with extended shifts possible during major storms.
