Registered Nurse - ICU

UNIT DETAILS: Critically ill medical/surgical patients including but not limited to: sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal, post-op surgical care, gastrointestinal bleeding, end of life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications. Our ICU is a split unit, totaling 12 ICU beds - 6 beds on the 2nd floor and 6 ICU beds on the 1st floor. We try to keep the higher acuity upstairs, where we staff 3 nurses (1:2 ratio); and the lower acuity patients downstairs, where we staff 2 nurses + 1 PCT (1:3 ratio). WEEKEND: Every Other CALL: None FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice as needed MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year - Unit accepts first time travelers AYA OFFER: Once candidate has signed and confirmation sent, manager has 48H to review the profile/confirmation and determine if unit/schedule/expertise fit. *Aya Offer only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines + meets specific facility requirements. RTO: MAX 7 Days HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day COMPLIANCE: FULL compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule Locals accepted - Same rate Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 10hrs for 10 week assignment)
