Job Overview A law firm seeks a patent attorney with at least four years of experience to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have expertise in healthcare technologies and related ML/AI technologies, holding a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. This role offers meaningful responsibility and autonomy, supported by appropriate training and oversight. Duties Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications. Collaborate with inventors and scientists in a client-facing role. Utilize patent databases and search tools effectively. Work with cross-functional teams to achieve client goals. Requirements Minimum of four years of patent prosecution experience. Strong organizational and writing skills. Excellent oral communication skills. Active admission to the state bar of the jurisdiction where located. Education Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Certifications USPTO registration required. Skills Experience with healthcare and ML/AI technologies. Ability to thrive in a large law firm environment. Intellectual curiosity and strong academic credentials. Benefits Competitive salary.
