Job Summary Our client is seeking a Building Manager to provide clinical office support, which includes greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, and collecting co-payments. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients with form completion; verify accuracy of patients insurance and demographic information; provide HIPAA forms, arbitration forms, and consent-to-treat forms. Collect co-pays for services; verify and balance receipts and payments. Review schedule for new patients and update when necessary. Call patients with appointment time reminders, obtaining insurance information and referral forms. Prepare, distribute and collect fee tickets; review fee tickets for completeness; reconcile fee tickets with the daily schedule. Schedule return patient appointments and patient testing; validate patients parking. Prepare patients charts for daily appointments. Assist patients with insurance questions regarding billing processes. Assist staff with sending out reminder cards and other related scheduling duties. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent high school certification with two years of experience in a medical office setting or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Basic Life Support certification, which must be obtained within one month of hire date. Skills Proven human relations and effective communication skills. Working knowledge of insurance, medical terminology, and computer skills. Additional Requirements Must obtain Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of hire. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
