This role is essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and high quality surgical care. The CSFA functions as a key member of the perioperative team, assisting with operative procedures while maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Surgical First Assist or equivalent programCertified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential requiredActive certification and compliance with continuing education requirementsCurrent BLS certification (ACLS preferred or as required by the center)Multispecialty experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferredAbility to function effectively in a fast paced, multispecialty surgical environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
