Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic/Electrical and Highways Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation Group in our Bloomfield, NJ or Mt. Laural, NJ offices. Responsibilities Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects. Perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks. Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects. Prepare construction cost estimates and quantities. Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards. Prepare Traffic Signal plans. Required Skills & Required Experience Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering required. Previous internship experience preferred. MicroStation experience preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Task Management and leadership skills preferred.

Salary Range $18.75/hour - $29.75/hour. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. Program Information Summer Intern Program During the summer intern program, interns gain hands‑on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full‑time employee.
