Senior Mechanical Power Engineer

HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Missouri-based Power Generation team. The role focuses on leading mechanical aspects of power and energy projects across utility, IPP, industrial, institutional, and municipal sectors. Primary Responsibilities Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Monitor and communicate project status. Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner's engineer projects, both technical and contractual. Travel for site surveys, technical conferences, client meetings, and construction monitoring (typically Typical Deliverables Construction drawings, bid specifications, pipe stress analyses, mechanical equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates. Preferred Qualifications Significant experience with industrial- and utility-scale power generation systems and equipment, and proven ability to plan, schedule, and lead design projects. Experience with the design and specification of power generation systems for simple cycle, combined cycle, distributed generation, RICE, CHP, and renewables projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum of 10 years of experience Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location (PE or P.Eng). Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
