Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate direct patient care using the Nursing Process within department standards.
• Monitor and respond to telemetry data; adjust care plans as needed in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders; document actions accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with physicians, other RNs, and interdisciplinary team members; escalate changes in patient condition per protocol.
• Assume leadership responsibilities within the unit, including delegation of tasks to other staff as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and the department’s standards of care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state (VT preferred or eligible for VT licensure).
• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC) and de-escalation training required prior to contract start date; if not active, a course must be booked at clinical orientation.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with med-surg telemetry patients.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights or varied hours, as assigned.
• Education: Graduate from an approved nursing program with current RN credential.
• Experience: Med-surg telemetry/acute care experience or demonstrated competency in similar nursing responsibilities preferred.
