# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Virginia**Start Date:** September 7, 2026 **Location:** Salem, Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; day shift includes clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and unit secretary; night shift includes clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs**Highlights:**

• 36-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative patient care
• Focus on wound care, dressing changes, drain management, and post-surgical recovery
• Meditech EMR system with Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCD devices

• Professional dress code with navy blue or white scrubs

**Requirements:**

• Current Virginia RN license or ability to obtain licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with post-operative patient care preferred
• Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
