Job Title Mental Health Provider, CAPS Physical Location Kent Campus - Kent, OH Salary $45,000 - $53,000 Basic Function In support of Kent State University’s vision and core values, the mission of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is to enhance the psychological health and development of Kent State University students through the provision of evidence-based psychological services, consultation, and programming. Responsibilities Deliver direct clinical services, including individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, to students with diverse concerns. Facilitate face-to-face and telemental health services, providing mental health triage, crisis intervention, and emergency services. Conduct intake interviews, psycho-diagnostic assessments, case conceptualization, and treatment plan formulation. Administer psychological assessments and provide collaborative care with multidisciplinary primary care providers at DeWeese Health Center. Conduct mental health and preventative outreach programming to educate students and the university community. Offer supervision and seminars to trainees in accordance with training policies and procedures. Provide consultation to students, families, faculty, and staff; prepare clinical documentation; and prepare for outreach and supervision activities. Participate in professional development, committee meetings, and continuous improvement of CAPS processes and systems. Represent CAPS on campus, statewide, and nationally as budget allows. Minimum Qualifications Licensure in the State of Ohio as a psychologist, Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Two years of clinical experience in a counseling setting. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Ohio license eligibility or eligibility for licensure. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a university counseling center; counseling college and/or high school-aged populations; electronic medical records; strong interpersonal skills to function within a multidisciplinary team and with campus units.
