Position Summary:
The primary purpose of your job is to coordinate meaningful and person-centered life enrichment programming for residents in the Memory Care Unit. You will plan, organize, implement, and oversee specialized dementia programming that aligns with best practices in cognitive wellness. This includes managing engagement tools such as memory boxes, sensory stations, life stations, and shadow boxes, while ensuring family communication and staff education. This position supports the overall goals of enhancing the emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being of each resident through structured, individualized, and compassionate programming. You will also return patients to optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration as well as Policies and Procedures.
Education/Qualifications:
Employee must hold an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
Must hold a current and valid license granted from the state of employment.
Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment.
Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the community.
Must have minimum of one (1) year of experience in long-term care and with adults with cognitive decline.

Wage: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Sign On Bonus: $5,000
Paid Out Evenly on a Quarterly Basis
