Manager, Data Analysis - Model and Script Enhancement Compliance

In Capital One's Compliance and Ethics Organization, we support the business in managing regulatory compliance risk through advice and effective challenge. Model and Script Enhancement (MASE) Compliance is focused on assessing compliance risk in models and scripts and advising the business on how to manage the identified risk.

Role Description

In this role, you will:

• Conduct computer code (script) reviews for the Code Design Intent Review (CoDIR) process. CoDIR is designed to evaluate the regulatory requirements the script is intended to effectuate and whether the script, as designed, meets that regulatory intent and to report the result of the assessment to the script owner.
• Leverage your analytical skills to support the Model Compliance Inherent Risk Assessment (MoCIRA) process. MoCIRA is the mechanism to assess model inherent compliance risk for all models.
• Identify opportunities to leverage GenAI or other capabilities to improve processes and automation.
• Collaborate with script owners, business risk offices and compliance partners across the enterprise.
• Partner with top talent in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment where analytics, good data and risk management are a top priority

On any given day you will be:

• Mining model inventory, script inventory, and assessment results datasets to arrive at specific and crucial insights for the organization
• Identifying and implementing process, data, and reporting improvements for the organization
• Improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness
• Conducting analysis to evaluate processes and tests

Basic Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics, or
  • Master's Degree plus at least 4 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
• At least 4 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
• At least 4 years of experience performing programming

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis work experience
• At least 5 years of experience with Python, SQL and Java
• At least 1 year of project management experience
• At least 1 year of experience working in a Bank or Financial institution

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Data Analysis Manager

Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Data Analysis Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
