Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Trauma RN in Kyle, Texas!

Job Description:


- Shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- Unit: Fast-paced, Trauma Level II emergency department
- Key Services:
- Primary Stroke and STEMI Center
- Serving 7 local counties, just south of Austin, Texas

- Patient Care:
- 4:1 RN ratio for the main ED
- 3:1 RN ratio for Vertical Care (fast-track) area
- Provides a Pediatric Readiness Facility

- Facility Features:
- 29 ED beds with 8 hallway beds during surges
- 1 dedicated Trauma Room
- 6 Vertical Care rooms
- Over 120 associates in the department

- Schedule:
- Provider coverage:
- 7 PM to 10 PM: 3 MDs, 2 APPs
- Midnight: 2 APPs, 1 MD
- 5 AM: 1 M.D.
- Enjoy rotating weekends and 2 major holidays

- Team Environment:

- Onboarding Requirements:
- Various essential assessments and verifications, including:
- License and Certificate Verification
- Ascension Specialty Exam
- Ascension Core Competencies
- Background checks

- Personal Health History:
- Complete necessary health documentation and vaccination records
- Mandatory tests include:
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza Vaccine
- Varicella
- Tdap


- Dress Code:
- Professional attire: Navy blue scrubs with Ascension branded shirt on payday Fridays
