OB Ultrasound Technologist
The client-fetal medicine sonographer performs diagnostic imaging scans on patients from the 1st to 3rd trimester. The focus is on high-risk pregnancies. The sonographer competently performs routine and specialized sonography procedures. These procedures produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. This imaging is crucial for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Scanning procedures include 1st trimester Nuchal Translucency, Biophysical Profile (BPP), and detailed level II scans. Scans also cover twins, triplets, umbilical artery Doppler, middle cerebral artery Doppler, and transvaginal imaging. The ideal candidate has prior experience in high-risk obstetric ultrasound. Experience with various ultrasound equipment is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with healthcare teams. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and standards of care. The sonographer must be able to work variable days within the assigned shift.
Minimum of 3 years as an OB Ultrasound Technologist. Valid state ultrasound technologist license. ARDMS certifications in FE and OB/GYN, BLS. Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
