Job Description
Title: CVOR RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Schedule:
- Rotating shift: 10 hours
- Four 10-hour days (0645-1715) or three 12-hour days (0645-1915)
- On-call: One or two weekdays (1900-0715) and one full weekend every five weeks.

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 26 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience, specifically in cardiovascular/open heart
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Must have experience in large academic teaching hospital settings
- Must be flexible with schedule to meet unit and patient care needs

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the cardiovascular operating room.
- Assist in various surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Effectively communicate with both patients and staff regarding care plans and procedures.

Compliance / Notes:
- Public transportation is not accessible; reliable transportation is recommended.
- Travelers must work two out of the four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
- Bi-weekly orientations on Monday.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
