Senior Organizational Development Specialist - 43 New Scotland (on-site)

Position Summary Hours: Full time, 40 hrs per week. This position is fully in person. The role is based in the Enterprise Project Management Office (AMHS) and requires attendance and hosting of in‑person meetings at AMHS locations within the capital region. The primary responsibility is to conduct learning and development activities across a diverse population within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities include maintaining data quality review and remediation, advancing the vision of Albany Med by designing and delivering training programs, and participating in strategic organizational initiatives that accelerate performance, productivity, and employee engagement. Core Responsibilities Conduct learning evaluations and provide recommendations for program design changes. Organize and manage multiple priorities and projects to meet deadlines. Lead and facilitate training sessions in an interdisciplinary environment. Apply LEAN methodology for problem solving and process improvement. Mentor and coach leaders within the organization. Develop and evaluate training material using best practices, instructional design, and e‑learning principles. Track and action plan outcomes to improve performance metrics. Participate in strategic initiatives designed to enhance organizational performance. Support program planning, development, and succession planning to promote internal growth and retention. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Proficiency with learning management systems and online training platforms. Strong knowledge and experience with end-to-end learning processes, including delivery using multiple methodologies. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to translate complex messages to varied audiences. Strong facilitation and training skills. Self‑directed and able to operate independently. Ability to integrate and facilitate cross‑functional teams. Project management skills. Highly flexible, adaptable, and resilient in the face of change; able to manage high volume, overlapping, and ambiguous requirements. Exceptional critical thinking, organization, and planning abilities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Healthcare Leadership, or related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 5 years of acute‑care healthcare leadership experience in learning & development, organizational development, or related field. Practical experience using learning theories, instructional design, interactive training, and e‑learning design principles. Experience working and communicating effectively in a cross‑functional environment with multiple levels of management and subject matter experts. Strategic and operational planning skills: gather and analyze data on needs, craft strategies, and ensure training activities are timely and meet stakeholder requirements. Budget management experience in departmental budgeting and tracking. Strong mentorship abilities and familiarity with succession planning.
