Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Quality Urgent Care is looking for 1 Part-Time Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The Physician Assistant and/or NP will provide medical services to patients. Experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant Needed For Part-Time Position. Quick Hire. 12 hr shifts during the week and 2 weekend shifts coverage needed. 2 years Urgent Care experience required. Local candidates preferred. Experience with ECW EMR is a big plus. Must be proficient with procedures like suturing, I&D, etc., and have basic EKG and X‑ray interpretation skills. (X‑ray over‑read by radiologist is available). Must be able to see patients and finish charting in a timely manner. No hospital work. No calls. Must have active FL Medical License, DEA, active Medicare, and a clean malpractice history. Medicaid number and DOT certification are preferred. Great patient care and the ability to remain calm and competent as a team leader is a must. Responsibilities Provide patient‑care services – examine patients, verify history and chart notes, make preliminary diagnoses, order diagnostic tests as needed, create and maintain patient‑care plans, and instruct patients on progress. Prescribe medication as needed under the direction of a physician. Perform supportive procedures – immunizations, injections, suturing and wound care, and infection management. Other duties – educate patients on diet, family planning, emotional issues, and health maintenance; act as backup to the physician for emergency treatments or complex procedures; display professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians on appropriate treatment. Requirements High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with state accreditation based on certifying exam or a registered Nurse Practitioner License. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast‑paced environment. Previous clinical experience is preferred. Must have FL Medical License. Must be able to interview in person and start quickly. Malpractice insurance is covered under our policy. Parking is provided.
