Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN license Certifications: None required Must-Have: Must have a skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular. Description: MUST HAVE A SKILL LEVEL OF 3 OR HIGHER IN JOINT, NEURO, ORTHO, AND VASCULAR. NO EXCEPTIONS! The facility is a flagship hospital, licensed for 815 beds. It has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals from 2020-2023, identifying the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for clinical quality. The facility has achieved an A Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for excellence in patient safety. It earned a Magnet Designation in November 2020, the highest honor for nursing excellence. This facility is also the region's referral center for trauma services and has a comprehensive stroke center. It is known for having the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas. The open heart and interventional cardiology services are only offered by this institution in the region. Candidates should have broad surgical knowledge and experience in general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma services. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:1. Procedure performance in the unit is variable, and advanced skills are needed. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. Documentation is managed through a specified system. This position may require floating to other departments and call responsibilities.
