U.S. Business Manager (Bilingual Japanese/English) Location: New Jersey (Hybrid/On-site) Industry: Pharmaceutical Wholesale Our client, a Hong Kong pharmaceutical company, is launching its U.S. wholesale operations. We are seeking a U.S. Business Manage r to be the first local hir e, responsible for standing up the company’s infrastructure, office/warehouse operations, and regulatory compliance . Key Responsibilities: Operations & Setu p: Coordinate the move-in and setup of a new office/warehouse facility in NJ; manage vendors, facilities, and logistics Licensing & Complianc e: Act as the internal lead for drug-wholesale licensing, working with external consultants to track renewals, deadlines, and regulatory filings Finance & Payrol l: Coordinate with external bookkeeping and payroll firms; manage invoice collection, financial documentation, and payroll instructions HR Admi n: Oversee basic recruitment, onboarding, and employee records maintenance Liaiso n: Provide regular progress reporting to the General Manager and headquarters in Japan Required Qualification ns:5+ ye ars of experience in business operations, office management, or administrative leadership Bilingual Proficien cy: Advanced Japanese (JLPT N1 equivalent) and English required to bridge communication with Japanese stakeholders Regulated Industry Experien ce: Prior experience in Pharma, Healthcare, or Logistics is highly preferred Startup Minds et: Ability to work independently as the first U.S. hire to build processes from scratch Skil ls: Strong vendor management, project tracking, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word) As the first hire, you will have a direct impact on the company’s U.S. footprint.
