Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for patients in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Perform emergency procedures as necessary
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously
• Provide patient and family education on complex medical situations
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the critical care unit
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in critical care medicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent
• Experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid medical license in the state of Missouri
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety awareness

Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a

No call requirement

Patient Volume: 18-20 per day

Setting: MICU and SICU

Common critical care procedures required

Support Staff: Physicians, nurses, techs, etc.

EMR: MediTech

Must be board-certified

Additional Certifications: ACLS and DEA
