A well-established real estate development and property management organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build a long-term career within a stable, growth-oriented company known for its strong culture, positive work environment, and employee retention.
The organization is seeking a motivated accountant with a solid accounting foundation, a team-oriented personality, and a desire to learn. Previous property accounting experience is welcomed but not required. The company is willing to train the right individual on the real estate side of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
Maintain general ledger accuracy and balance sheet integrity
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Review and analyze operating expenses and financial transactions
Partner with operations and property management personnel on accounting matters
Assist with process improvements and special projects
Support audit and compliance-related requests as needed

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience
Public accounting experience is a plus but not required
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
