ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

Uncover critical system risks before they strike by mastering low-level binary analysis! In this role, you will perform deep technical analysis on malicious binaries, using static and dynamic methods to uncover hidden functionality, system behaviors, and indicators of compromise (IOCs). You won't just inspect code — you'll dissect unknown payloads, untangle obfuscation, and deliver critical intelligence that directly powers malware detection, signature generation, and enterprise-wide threat mitigation. If you thrive on tearing apart malicious code to figure out how it works and driving real-world countermeasures, you’ll fit right in with Team Nyla.

The annual base salary range for this role is $171,000-$202,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

, Required Skills

• Malware Reverse Engineering: Demonstrated, hands-on experience performing reverse engineering on unknown or malicious binaries.

• Assembly Binary Analysis: Strong understanding of x86, x64, or ARM assembly languages and low-level execution concepts.

• Reverse Engineering Tooling: Proficient with industry-standard static and dynamic analysis tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, x64dbg, GDB).

• IOC Extraction Analysis: Proven capability to isolate, analyze, and document operational Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).

• Malware Mitigation Concepts: Strong foundation in computer networking, operating system internals (Windows/Linux), and malware defense techniques.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional experience in reverse engineering, malware analysis, or software development OR Master’s Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of specialized technical experience OR High School Diploma / GED , PLUS 11+ years of relevant hands-on experience in reverse engineering and low-level code analysis in lieu of a degree.

Signature Creation: Experience crafting custom YARA rules or SNORT signatures based on binary findings.

Scripting Automation: Proficiency with Python or C/C++ to build custom plugins, automate routine triage, or unpack payloads.

Network Protocol Dissection: Experience analyzing packet captures (PCAP) to correlate binary execution with network traffic patterns.

OS Internals: Deep understanding of OS API calls, process execution models, and memory management mechanics.
