Position: Remote

Duration: Longterm (contract)

Required 12+ Years’ experience.

Position Description A major client is looking to establish a performance center of excellence. They are establishing performance engineers as their first step towards embracing a “shift left” initiative to identify issues prior to scripting. In addition to perf engineer responsibilities, the team member would also perform performance testing activities.

1. Provide guidance and recommendations for application, JVM, architecture, etc. to embrace “shift left” directive to identify performance bottlenecks prior to script development

2. Develop performance test suites based on NFR and application usage

3. Develop performance test plans to share with client stakeholders

4. Execute performance test suites leveraging feature application and downstream applications (including mainframe applications)

5. Leverage performance monitoring toolsets to ensure application performance is within established SLA’s

6. Leverage log analysis tools for troubleshooting and additional application monitoring

7. Report and Triage defects to test management

Required Qualifications to be Successful in this Role:

Skill Set Years of Experience Proficiency Level

Performance Engineering 3+ Advanced

Performance Testing (LoadRunner & Blaze meter) 5+ Advanced

Performance Monitoring (Dynatrace) 5+ Standard

API Testing (JMeter) 3+ Standard
