Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Pueblo, Colorado.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.Details\n \n Med/Surg Tele unit specializing in stroke care within a 30 staffed-bed unit\n Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:45-7:15) with various days of the week\n Weekend shifts required per unit needs\n Floating required within scope, including to sister facilities based on facility needs\n Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, with flexibility to increase based on staffing needs\n No on-call requirements\n Uses Epic charting system\n Navy scrub color required\n Requirements\n \n Active CO or compact RN license required\n Current BLS/CPR certification required\n Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience required (with at least 2 years of RN experience)\n Epic charting experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios\n Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required\n Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management\n Experience with oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management\n Knowledgeable in isolation precautions/PPE protocols\n Additional Information\n \n Care for med/surg and stroke patients requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management\n Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed\n Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment\n Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks in 2026\n No blocked scheduling requests permitted\n Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates may face eligibility restrictions\n Local candidates residing within 75 miles are eligible for a local bill rate\n First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of RN acute care experience\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-752909.
