Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Location: New Lenox, Illinois

Position Type: Per Diem

Shift: Days/Nights (12-Hour Shifts)

Pay Rate: $50-52/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality care in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, telemetry monitoring experience, and the ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes

• Interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring and manage cardiac drips

• Provide care for post-surgical patients

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Supervise CNAs, SNAs, and other assigned healthcare personnel

• Maintain professional nursing standards and compliance with facility policies

• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation

• Experience managing cardiac drips

• Experience caring for post-surgical patients

• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations

• Cerner EMR experience

• BLS Certification (AHA)

• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated

Additional Information

• Per diem opportunity with flexible scheduling

• Must work a minimum of Three shift every 30 days

• Multiple openings available

• Orientation offered on designated 12-hour shifts
