Riordan Mansion State Historic Park (Arizona State Parks)
Provide visitors with an accurate, entertaining, and informative guided tour of the Riordan Mansion.
Built in 1904, Riordan MansionState Historic Park is an impressive reminder of gracious living in a small, territorial logging town. The historic building is an Arizona treasure. A 13,000 square foot home in the Arts and Crafts style built by Charles Whittlesey, the architect of the El Tovar hotel in the Grand Canyon. The home was built for the two Riordan brothers, Tim and Michael, and their families. The Riordans owned the Arizona Lumber and Timber Company, the largest local sawmill. These community builders helped foster Flagstaff to become the city we are today.
