Ultrasound Technologist Contract Opportunity

Utilize your ultrasound expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment, working alongside a dedicated radiology team to provide essential imaging services. This contract opportunity offers night shifts from 7:00 PM 7:00 AM and requires adaptability to both hospital and outpatient settings. Expect to float as needed between the main hospital and a nearby outpatient imaging center.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 PM 7:00 AM shifts
• Weekend work required as needed (no set rotation)
• 13-week schedule cycles
• Holiday requirement: Work 75% of scheduled holidays
• Minimal on-call responsibilities

Position Highlights:

• Support an average patient volume of 250-300 per day
• Level 3 Trauma, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center environment
• Technologies include Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound units
• Use the EPIC EMR system
• Interact with occasionally present radiology students

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist
• Vascular ultrasound imaging proficiency
• Current BLS certification
• National credential (ARDMS or ARRT; no anatomy subspecialty required)
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Fast learner and strong multitasking abilities necessary
• Must be able to provide a photo ID during compliance
• No NC State Licensure required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform quality general and vascular ultrasound studies
• Adapt workflow to meet urgent imaging needs of varied patient populations, including cancer, stroke, COVID, heart attack, and more
• Maintain professional rapport with patients, staff, and students
• Adhere to departmental standards and safety protocols
• Flexibly float between inpatient and outpatient settings as assigned
