Role Summary Are you a technical SEO expert who's already thinking about how search is changing in the age of AI? We're looking for an experienced Senior GEO/SEO Marketing Manager to lead AdvancedMD's organic search and generative/answer engine visibility strategy. In this role, you'll own how AdvancedMD shows up across traditional search engines (Google, Bing) and emerging AI-powered discovery surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and similar generative engines); driving qualified traffic and pipeline through both channels. This is a senior, strategic role for someone who has deep technical SEO expertise and has already begun building a point of view on how GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) are reshaping discovery. Essential Job Duties Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO, GEO, and AEO strategy aligned to business priorities and long-term growth objectives Own and evolve the roadmap for optimizing content and digital experiences across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered answer and generative platforms Monitor industry trends and advancements in AI search to proactively evolve strategy, identify white space, and capitalize on new opportunities ahead of competitors Lead keyword, topic, and consumer intent research - including how intent and query patterns shift in conversational/AI-driven search - to inform content strategy across the customer journey Owning the Day-to-Day Operations: Partner closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Marketing teams to embed SEO/GEO/AEO best practices into digital experiences from planning through execution Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the impact of SEO, GEO, and AEO initiatives on traffic, share of voice in AI-generated answers, and downstream business objectives (leads, pipeline, revenue) Leverage data and experimentation to continuously optimize performance and validate strategic recommendations Manage relationships with external SEO/GEO/AEO agency and technology partners Organizational Influence: Educate and influence senior leadership on evolving search trends, positioning AdvancedMD as an early mover in GEO/AEO best practices across the organization What You'll Need to Get the Job Done 7+ years of SEO/AEO/GEO experience in an agency or in-house capacity, ideally with progressive ownership of strategy (not just execution) Deep, demonstrated expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, site architecture, structured data, and search performance best practices Strong working knowledge of the evolving landscape of AI-powered search and Answer/Generative Engine Optimization (AEO/GEO), with a genuine passion for staying ahead of industry shifts Hands-on experience with enterprise SEO platforms and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Conductor, Semrush, or similar Experience building SEO/AEO/GEO measurement frameworks from scratch, reporting on performance, and communicating business impact to senior stakeholders Experience managing external agency or vendor relationships and holding partners accountable to KPIs Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to audiences of different seniority and expertise, including executive leadership Bonus: Experience with AI tracking and monitoring tools (e.g., Profound, Bluefish, or similar); Healthcare, SaaS, or B2B software industry experience What Will Make us LOVE You Proven track record of navigating ambiguity and white space, translating unclear or emerging conditions into clear strategic recommendations Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and executive-ready strategic recommendations Self-starter who thrives working independently and cross-functionally within a team Passion for outside-the-box thinking and challenging the status quo on how search and discovery are evolving You're a strategic SEO/GEO partner who can flex from high-level executive conversations to hands-on technical execution on the same day Life at AdvancedMD: The BURST Way to Be Learn more about our Company culture.
