This position provides a unique opportunity for a professional liability generalist or an A&E/contractor specialist to join a fast paced, dynamic team to write policies tailored to the specific requirements of the A&E sector. Lines of business include commercial general liability, professional liability (E&O) and cross-sold Cyber from time to time. In addition to insuring architects and engineers, we also specialize in contractors (interior & exterior), real estate developers, construction managers, land surveyors, draftsman, and more! Risks vary greatly in size and complexity (from start-ups to large, multinational entities). We provide an entrepreneurial climate that values and rewards thoughtful risk taking, excellence in execution and ownership in body of work.What You’ll Be Doing:Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategy and guidelines for the product lines: Develop new broker relationships and increase depth of existing broker relationships throughout the East Coast region to drive productionEngage with the national A&E team to learn and teach collaborativelyMaintain excellent customer service standardsMentor & train junior A&E teammates locally and nationallySpearhead in office quoting days with top broker partnersMonitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitabilityConsistently exceed minimum quote output numbers established by A&E managerAt times, regional travel required including industry events and broker visitsPlease provide a cover letter and resume which clearly communicates that you are the person to take on this challenge at Hiscox USA.
