Staff Tax Accountant

Atlanta, GA | Full-Time | Up to $70K + Bonus Our client, an international commercial real estate investment firm headquartered in Atlanta, is looking for a Tax & Accounting Specialist to join its dedicated investor tax compliance team. The firm structures and manages U.S. real estate investments for financial institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth investors around the world. This role is a good fit for someone with 1 to 3 years of public accounting tax experience who wants to focus on real estate partnership and investor tax work in a smaller, specialized group. WHAT YOU'LL DO Tax Preparation & Compliance Prepare nonresident individual income tax returns for investors in real estate partnerships using CCH ProSystem Axcess Tax Support tax compliance activities and track filing deadlines across the investor base Investor Tax Packages Work with internal data providers to organize, review, and assemble complete investor tax packages Review tax documentation for completeness and maintain organized tax records Prepare correspondence and follow up with the IRS and state taxing authorities on notices and inquiries Client & Tax Records Manage client and ownership information and maintain the tax database Scan, organize, and index tax documents in the firm's document management system Tax Operations Prepare and coordinate tax billing Process refund checks Assist with tax research Provide general support to the tax department as needed WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 1 to 3 years of public accounting experience with a tax focus preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Experience with tax preparation software; CCH ProSystem Axcess Tax is a plus (training is provided) Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Ability to manage multiple priorities against firm tax deadlines COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary up to $70,000 Bonus opportunity Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid company holidays Dedicated training on specialized tax software LOCATION Atlanta, GA #J-18808-Ljbffr Anonymous Company Profile
