FORKLIFT SERVICE MECHANIC

$50,000.00 - $90,000.00 @ Year / $1000.00 Signing Bonus / Company Service Van

Michigan Forklift is looking fo9r an experienced, dependable road Forklift Mechanic to join our service team.

We are a family-owned and operated company that has proudly served Southeast Michigan since 1972.  Our service technicians work directly at customer locations keeping forklifts and material-handling equipment operating safely and efficiently

THE POSITION

As a Road forklift Mechanic, you will travel to customers locations throughout Southeast Michigan to diagnose, repair and maintain forklifts & other material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities 

Diagnose and repair forklifts and material-handling equipment                                    Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service                                          Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and related equipment issues            Inspect Equipment & identify potential problems before they result in downtime        Perform repairs on a variety of forklift makes and models                                            Communicate professionally with customers regarding their service needs                 Maintain accurate service records and documentation                                                 Keep your service van, tools and equip. organized & properly maintained                 Follow all company and customer safety procedures                                                   Provide professional, dependable service at customer locations

REQUIREMENTS

Previous mechanical experience required                                                                    Forklift/Material Handling equipment experience preferred                                          Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities                                                                  Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently                                        Must have your own professional mechanic tools                                                        Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record                                                    Ability to travel to customer locations throughout Southeast Michigan                        Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer service                Dependable, punctual and safety-conscious                                                                Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
