Optician PositionA well-established eye care practice in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Optician to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about patient care, eyewear sales, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced optical environment.The Optician will assist patients with eyewear selection, frame fitting, lens recommendations, prescription interpretation, and overall optical support while working closely with the clinical team.ResponsibilitiesAssist patients with selecting eyewear, frames, and lens options based on prescriptions and lifestyle needsFit, adjust, repair, and dispense eyeglasses to ensure optimal comfort and visionInterpret optical prescriptions accurately and provide product recommendationsSupport optometrists by pre-testing patients and assisting with patient intake proceduresVerify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and explain coverage options to patientsMaintain accurate patient records and documentationDeliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of patient satisfactionAssist with inventory management and merchandising of eyewear productsCollaborate with team members to maintain efficient clinic operationsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of optical sales experienceExperience selling high-end ophthalmic frames and lensesStrong customer service and relationship-building skillsAbility to support patient pre-testing and check-in processesExperience verifying medical and vision insurance benefits and obtaining authorizationsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions and eyewear ordersAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced team environmentExperience with optical software and related tools preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredOptician certification preferredPreferred SkillsOptical SalesEyewear DispensingFrame Styling & FittingLens RecommendationsInsurance VerificationAuthorizations ProcessingCustomer ServicePrescription InterpretationPatient Intake & Pre-TestingOptical Software SystemsTeam CollaborationScheduleFull-TimeOn-SiteMonday - Friday (Schedule to be discussed)
