Job Description:

The Emergency Department (ED) EMT is responsible for providing care and transport to patients within the emergency room. The EMT will assist with monitoring equipment and patient care under the direction of a nurse or physician.

Responsibilities:

• Work in cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area.
• Triage patients and assist with patient experience initiatives.
• Update unit boards with patient information.
• Perform equipment checks using Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
• Maintain respectful behavior and adhere to AIDET standards.

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before starting date on hire.
• ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Level 2 trauma center and high volume ED.
• Teamwork mentality and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
• Ability to read telemetry monitors and pass the tele exam.
