IT Coordinator - Technology Project Coordinator

Technology Project CoordinatorOur client is seeking a highly organized and technically driven Technology Project Coordinator to support bond-funded technology projects within the Los Angeles Community College District. This role will serve as a key support resource for the Technology Project Management team by coordinating project documentation, scheduling meetings, tracking project progress, and assisting with the successful delivery of multiple IT infrastructure and technology initiatives.The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating multiple IT projects simultaneously, particularly within construction, engineering, or capital improvement environments. This individual should possess strong communication, organizational, and technical coordination skills, with the ability to support projects from planning and design through closeout.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Support Support the coordination and execution of 5–10 IT projects simultaneously, varying in size and complexityAssist Technology Project Managers with project tracking, scheduling, and deliverable managementCoordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to support project completionProvide timely project updates, status reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycleOrganize and maintain project folders, records, and technical documentationProject Documentation Assist in preparing and maintaining project initiation forms and project schedulesSupport risk identification and mitigation tracking effortsReview and help develop IT-related contract documents and project deliverablesAssist with technical scope development for various IT infrastructure projectsSupport review and coordination of project submittals and approvalsMeeting Coordination & Communication Schedule and coordinate project meetings with stakeholders and project teamsCreate meeting agendas and document meeting notes/minutesCoordinate with stakeholders to finalize and distribute meeting documentationDevelop reports, presentations, and project communication materials as neededBudgeting, Scheduling & Reporting Assist with tracking project budgets, schedules, and overall program performanceCoordinate with Asset Management teams regarding inventory and asset trackingMaintain project status reporting related to construction and technology project schedulesAssist with change order review and evaluation alongside Project Managers and Cost EstimatorsUpdate risk logs and assist in identifying mitigation strategiesTechnology Project Support Support projects related to: Networking and communications infrastructureWireless and cellular deploymentsPhysical security systems (IP cameras and access control)VoIP and IP-based communicationsEnterprise device deploymentsServer and endpoint infrastructureAsset management and technical inventory trackingQualifications & RequirementsRequired: Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating and managing multiple IT projectsExperience working within capital improvement programs and familiarity with relevant codes and standardsExperience integrating technology within construction and engineering projectsExperience coordinating multiple IT projects of varying size and complexityExperience supporting projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and closeoutExperience supporting technologies including: Network infrastructureServersVoIP systemsCCTV systemsAudio/Visual systemsStorage systemsWireless technologiesStrong organizational, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred: Certifications in technology and/or project management related fieldsFamiliarity with public bidding and contracting processesExperience working on publicly funded programs or projectsExperience facilitating or coordinating end-user training sessions K2 Staffing, LLC
