American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring EEG registry, BLS certification, and 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Outpatient EEG setting
• Mon-Fri schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, no weekends, call, evenings, or holidays
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Performs routine and ambulatory EEG studies for outpatients, as well as routine and prolonged EEG studies for inpatients
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist or Clinical Neurophysiology Technologist graduate, or current CNT student
• EEG registry required
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum of an associate's degree in Applied Science or related science
• Minimum of 2 years specialty experience and/or 3 total travel assignments required for this location
• Computer skills required
• Above average verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt rapidly
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for accurate electrode application using the international 10-20 system, as well as proper electrode maintenance and removal
• Continuously monitors and maintains EEG recordings for a diverse patient population, ensuring data quality and patient safety
• Performs seizure response testing and troubleshoots EEG equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Monitors and maintains adequate inventory of supplies
• May mentor student technologists and act as liaison between nurses and physicians
• May assist with SPECT injections
• Experience with Cadwell equipment preferred
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one year from initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
