Director of Development

Compensation: $55,000–$58,000 annually + performance bonus --- About Santa Fe Playhouse Santa Fe Playhouse is a professional theater company dedicated to producing bold, engaging work and enriching Santa Fe's arts community. We're seeking a strategic Development Director to lead fundraising efforts that sustain and grow our artistic mission. Position Summary The Development Director designs and executes the Playhouse's fundraising strategy — individual giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, and special events — working closely with the Managing Director and Board to meet annual revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Strategy: Build and manage the annual development plan and budget; report results to the Managing Director and Board Individual Giving: Manage a donor portfolio, run annual appeals, and steward major gift prospects Grants: Research, write, and submit grant proposals; track deadlines and reporting requirements Corporate Sponsorship: Develop sponsorship packages and manage partner relationships Events: Plan and execute fundraising events, including the annual gala and opening night receptions Board Engagement: Staff the Development Committee and support Board members in donor cultivation Administration: Maintain donor database/CRM, ensure timely gift acknowledgment, and manage department budget Qualifications Required 2 - 4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, ideally in the arts Track record in individual giving, grant writing, and/or event fundraising Strong writing skills and donor database/CRM proficiency Some evening/weekend availability for performances and events Preferred Fundraising experience at a professional theater or performing arts organization Existing relationships with New Mexico funders or philanthropic networks $55,000–$58,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus Santa Fe Playhouse is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
