Job Description
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Current RN License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have:
ICU experience with Pediatric experience preferred.
Experience titrating drips.
Ability to read rhythm strips.

Description:
The position involves working in an ICU setting.
The nurse will care for a variety of patients, particularly the elderly population.
Common diagnoses include cardiac issues, pulmonary conditions, neuro conditions, GI issues, and sepsis.
Outpatient responsibilities may include transfusions and long-term antibiotic infusions.
Pediatric care will include stable patients with respiratory illnesses, postoperative needs, and dehydration.
Charge Nurses will take on assignments while supervising staff.
Nurse aides will support with a typical ratio of 1 aide to every 8-10 patients on days and nights.
Respiratory therapists are typically available 24/7.
12-hour shifts will require every other weekend and holiday rotation.
There may be call or standby requirements based on census, along with floating to other departments as needed.
Navy scrubs are required for RNs.
