Rotor Technician - 3rd shift

Job Summary Must be able to set up and operate the machinery in department 7 in an efficient manner. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing high quality parts for the next internal customer in the chain. Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to set up and operate the machinery in department 7 such as die cast, small rotor final, spin cast, fab rotor, etc... Ability to visually inspect parts and detect defects and make necessary changes with quality guidelines Read a tape measurer Must comply with company quality and safety guidelines Maintain a clean and orderly work area Perform other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES/TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Basic Math Skills Ability to read and follow instructions Strong attention to detail Self motivated Ability to multi-task Preferred Ability to work independently Dependability Must be able to read prints Use micrometers, verniers, snap gauges Basic computer skills Operate a fork lift Additional Job Details Support & Production - S2 Organizational Impact Works to deliver on day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on achievement of results for the team Work consists of tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice Works under moderate supervision for routine tasks May seek advice of more senior employees in the same team Communication & Influence Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement Innovation & Complexity Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems to supervisor in own team Daily challenges are generally routine, but may require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems Leadership & Talent Management May provide guidance or assistance to new or entry-level employees Knowledge & Experience Requires basic job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
