Job Description
This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by stacking, sorting, labeling, and organizing products while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. You will handle loading and unloading activities, assist with inventory movement, and complete general labor tasks to keep products flowing smoothly through the facility.
Responsibilities

• Stack, sort, and label boxes accurately and efficiently to support production and shipping activities.
• Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring products move in and out of the warehouse in a timely manner.
• Organize products in the warehouse so that items are stored in the correct locations and are easy to find.
• Use scanners and RF devices to pick, scan, and verify orders and inventory accurately.
• Perform general labor tasks such as packaging, packing, filling, and material handling as needed.
• Support production and manufacturing processes by assisting with small consumer packaging tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and safety practices.
• Follow directions from the production lead and warehouse supervisor and complete other assigned duties.
• Assist with warehouse packing, order picking, and unloading activities to meet daily operational goals.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a small consumer packaging environment.
• Previous experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse and production setting.
• Experience with loading and unloading products in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to perform packaging, packing, and filling tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with inventory handling and material handling in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners or similar devices for picking, scanning, and verifying orders.
• Capability to perform order picking and warehouse packing tasks.
• Ability to work the scheduled hours, including occasional Saturdays.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with order picking and using scanners for inventory control.
• Familiarity with warehouse packing and small consumer product packaging.
• Comfort working in both warehouse and production environments.
• Strong attention to detail when labeling, sorting, and organizing products.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production and warehouse operations.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse and production environment. You will work primarily on-site around packaging lines, storage racks, and loading docks, handling boxes, materials, and finished products. Typical hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed to support production demands. The work involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. You will use equipment such as RF scanners and other basic warehouse tools while working in a setting focused on cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Metairie, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
