CorrectHealth currently has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Macon, GA!

Currently, CorrectHealth provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare services inside the walls of more than 40 correctional facilities throughout Georgia and Louisiana.

Essential functions include: assisting in providing health care to inmates, performing intake physical examinations to all newly incarcerated inmates, assisting in the passing of medications to inmates, responding to medical emergencies, advising appropriate personnel on any inmates that need to be classified as a medical risk, complying with Medical Department directives pertaining to bloodborne and airborne pathogens and the disposal of contaminated materials and supplies, practicing proper medical record keeping, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required license or certification: EMT. Current certification to practice as a EMT in the state of employment. American Heart Association BLS. American Heart Association ACLS. Knowledge and ability to perform emergency care within scope of practice.
