What We’re Looking For The Sourcing and Procurement Specialist, Senior Advisor is the third of three Independent Contributor roles that recognizes his/her category expertise, efficiency and effectiveness in complex regional to global multi‑project management. The role demonstrates leader capabilities, brings an innovation mindset and acts as an agent of change for the Procurement organization. The Senior Advisor leverages their category expertise by working closely with business stakeholders to identify, define and execute key projects that support business goals over a 12‑36‑month horizon. The Senior Advisor handles multiple highly complex regional to global projects, works with the team, and is a member of the Procurement Leadership team supporting Zebra’s goals. Position Requirements Hybrid work (3 days in office per week minimum) in one of the following locations: Lincolnshire, IL, Holtsville, NY, Austin, TX, or San José, CA. (Note: San José location has a premium pay adjustment.) Inspire trust and confidence with executive leadership Engage with management and stakeholder teams to drive strategic initiatives, balancing the RFx process and TCO evaluation of suppliers against business stakeholder requirements and supplier preferences Recognized as a company expert Manage 8+ highly complex projects simultaneously, leading all deliverables, analytics, negotiations, and project management details Manage full sourcing process for the most complex projects—including supply market analysis, leverage spend, business requirements, negotiating SOWs, contract terms, and monitoring complex contracts Host and lead business reviews Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual category management plans covering strategy, goals, challenges, constraints, and objectives with a 1 to 3‑year horizon (deliverables include spend breakdown, strategic sourcing pipeline, process improvements, supplier rationalizations, and sourcing levers) Maintain accountability, deliver against timelines, build relationships, and become a trusted advisor with business stakeholders, executive management, and suppliers Perform significant total cost of ownership evaluations, conduct supply‑market research, and analyze complex pricing audits for continuous cost improvements Work with suppliers and stakeholders to execute cost‑improvement programs and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure business satisfaction Contribute to measuring success, including savings, process innovation, improved delivery, and simplified processes This role focuses on semiconductor procurement Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields) 12+ years of experience as a procurement professional Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of a degree as a procurement professional Preferred Qualifications MBA, CPSM, or equivalent advanced certification Experience with semiconductor procurement (beneficial but not required) Proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) Experience with Oracle iProcurement, Scout, SpendHQ, or similar programs Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers Strategic sourcing, stakeholder management, project management, spend analytics, supplier management, contract compliance, strategic collaboration management, executive presentation, and leadership skills Travel Requirements 10‑15% domestic travel.
