Forklift Operator - Sit Down

Position: Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location: McDonough, GA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Start Time: 7:00 AM

Pay: $17.75/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift equipped with a center-spool/pole attachment to move large rolls of product throughout the warehouse and loading area. The operator will also be responsible for securing and strapping product rolls onto outbound trucks to ensure safe transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift with a center spool/pole attachment to transport large rolls of product.
• Load and unload product rolls safely and efficiently.
• Position and secure rolls for shipment.
• Strap and secure product rolls onto loaded trucks.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Must Haves

• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Experience using a carpet-spool/pole or similar attachment preferred.
• Ability to safely handle large rolls of material.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience loading outbound shipments.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory and shipping procedures.
