Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and induction of labor (Cook catheter, Cervidil, oxytocin)
• Circulate for cesarean sections as required
• Perform IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, Foley catheter placement, and epidural assistance
• Utilize fetal monitoring equipment including Corometrics 250 series and Monica monitor
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal (CPN) EMR systems
• Function as a team player within a collaborative unit staffed with RNs, OB technicians, and unit clerks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting
• Active Kentucky RN license or Compact license valid in Kentucky at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• Ability to circulate for cesarean sections
• Experience with Alaris pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, and fluid warmers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Prior experience with Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal (CPN) EMR platforms
• Experience in a unit with Level 2 NICU or newborn nursery integration
