Spartanburg County School District 6 Transportation - Roebuck, South Carolina Open in Google Maps Assistant Director of Transportation This job is also posted in CERRA-SC , and Spartanburg County School District 6 Job Details Starting Date: To Be Determined Job Description Announcement of Vacancy for Assistant Director of Transportation Qualifications: High School Diploma Supervisory experience required Must hold/obtain/maintain a Class B CDLin good standing with Passenger/Student endorsements and SCDE school bus certification Knowledge of Federal and State school bus regulations and laws (preferred) Familiarity with routing and schedules (preferred) Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises bus drivers, bus monitors and other transportation staff Assess a wide variety of transportation related activities (incidents, complaints, accidents, etc.) to reach resolutions according to District guidelines while always placing the safety of students and staff as the highest priority Collaborates with administrators to implement and maintain services and programs. Prepares and maintains school bus routes for assigned areas Conducts annual review of bus stops, walking routes, bridge and railroad crossings Designs and implements new school bus routes Ensures district compliance with all local, state and federal school bus/pupil regulations Performs all other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.
