This leadership role is responsible for production scheduling, workforce management, quality oversight, inventory planning, process improvement, and on-time customer deliveries.The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience in machining, assembly, quality systems, and production planning who enjoys working closely with employees on the shop floor to achieve exceptional results.What You'll DoProduction OperationsLead and coordinate all production activities from customer order through final shipment. Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.Review incoming sales orders and verify production requirements. Coordinate workflow between engineering, purchasing, quality, sales, machine shop, and assembly departments. Monitor production performance and resolve bottlenecks.Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and ISO requirements. Prepare and analyze production reports and operational metrics.Planning & Inventory ManagementManage material requirements and production resources. Work with purchasing to maintain adequate inventory levels.Coordinate outside processes such as heat treating, machining, finishing, and inspection services. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Ensure materials and components meet engineering and quality requirements.Also involves production team leadership and quality, safety, & continuous improvement tasks; please see full job description for all regular duties.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:5+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, production management, or operations managementStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, assembly, and quality systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsExperience with production scheduling, inventory control, and workflow managementProven leadership and employee development experienceStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systemsExperience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, or industrial manufacturing environments preferredKnowledge of ISO-compliant quality systems preferredExperience with quoting, estimating, BOMs, and manufacturing cost analysis preferredEducation: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferredWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity to lead a critical manufacturing operation supporting precision products used in demanding industrial, aerospace, and defense applications.
