Job Description Phlebotomist II Floater – Huntington Beach, CA. Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM with rotational weekends. Requires a California, Nevada, or Washington state phlebotomy license. This float role covers multiple patient service centers. Pay Pay range: $26.60 - $31.65 per hour. Salary considers skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible for annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.) Enter billing information and collect payment when required Coach, mentor, instruct, and be a resource advisor for new employees; serve as point of contact on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington Work Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred Keyboard/data entry experience Legal & EEO The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
